What does God desire most from you? For too many followers of Christ, this brings up confusing signals. For some it might be a list of “thou shalt nots, or you need to do more.” This can cause a sense of never measuring up, which can keep you from experiencing what God truly wants to accomplish in you and through you.
That is why pursuing the 3 vital relationships – connecting with God, connecting with others, and connecting others to God brings the needed focus to your life. Each of these relationships allows you to experience the life Jesus desires for you.
If you are pulled in too many directions and distracted by competing demands, narrow your focus on what Jesus said and it will simplify your life. You will experience life the way Jesus designed it.
Back in the Bible days there were 676 laws, and people were confused. So when Jesus was asked, “Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law?” Jesus replied, “Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.” This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: “Love your neighbor as yourself.” All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments. Matthew 22:36-40
There needs to be no confusion or question as to what God wants most from us. You can set aside everything that is secondary in importance and devote yourself to these 3 vital relationships. This allows you to have the greatest impact possible in the world, as well as the most fulfilling life possible.
